Society will be talking to us at 4pm about The BATTLE OF TOWTON which took place
on a snowy Palm Sunday, 29th March 1461
It is thought that about 50,000 men
fought and more than 20,000 died as Lancastrians fought Yorkists in the wars of
the roses.
